Exhaust Pipe On A Vehicle

Custom exhaust work here means fabricating and welding pipe so the system fits, hangs, and seals — not bolting on a catalog kit and hoping the hangers line up. Jobs range from replacing a rusted section to building a dual system with the sound and clearance the vehicle actually needs.

If a muffler is loud, a pipe is hanging, or you want a specific tone, bring the vehicle in. Call (972) 422-1130 or use the contact page.

Custom exhaust work we do

  • Custom pipe fabrication for rusted or damaged sections
  • Single and dual exhaust layouts
  • Muffler upgrades and replacements
  • Flex pipe and hanger repairs
  • Exhaust welding for cracked joints and manifolds when the metal is still worth saving

Repair first, then decide on a full system

Not every noisy exhaust needs a full custom layout. A cracked pipe, failed flex section, or rusted muffler seam may only need a targeted repair. We show the damaged area and quote repair versus a broader refresh so you can choose before anyone cuts good pipe.

  • Inspect for leaks, rust-through, and broken hangers
  • Measure pipe diameter and clearance
  • Talk through sound goals in plain language before cutting
  • Weld the material the job actually uses — common aluminized systems or stainless when that is what is on the car
  • Recheck for leaks and rattles after a short drive

Street vehicles keep required emissions equipment. We do not strip converters for a louder note. If a converter is damaged, that is a separate diagnosis from muffler tone.

Bring the vehicle if you can. Photos of a hanging pipe help for a hanger job; they do not replace a sound check for drone or a leak at a flange you cannot see from a phone picture.

Clearance, hangers, and cabin drone

A system that sounds fine in the bay but drones on the highway is not finished. Hanger placement, ground clearance, and how the layout talks to the cabin matter as much as the muffler stamp. Tips and finishes come last, after the functional layout is right.

That is the part of custom exhaust that does not show up in a parts-catalog photo: pipe routed so it does not hit the axle on bump, hangers that do not load one joint, and a muffler choice that matches how you actually drive.

Hangers rust through and then the system sags onto the heat shield or the axle. People hear a rattle and assume the muffler is bad. Often the muffler is still sealed and the hangers are the repair. We fix the support before we sell a louder box.

Cabin drone is a low-frequency boom at cruise rpm, not the same as a raspy leak. Leak noise usually changes with rpm in a sharp way. Drone sits in the floor and seats on the highway. Those two problems get different mufflers and different layouts.

Frequently asked questions

Can you match a factory-quiet exhaust?

Often yes, with the right muffler, pipe diameter, and routing. We need the vehicle in the bay to hear what failed and see what is still reusable.

Do you weld stainless and aluminized steel?

Yes. Material follows the existing system and the goal of the job, not a one-size wire.

How long does custom exhaust work take?

Simple section or muffler repairs are often finished the same day when parts are on hand. A full dual layout takes longer and is scheduled once the design and materials are set. We will not quote “same day” for a build that still needs pipe, hangers, or a converter decision.

Will custom exhaust void everything on the car?

We do not remove required emissions parts for street use. Ask about your specific goals before we cut. Warranty language on the rest of the vehicle depends on the manufacturer and what actually changed.

Schedule an exhaust inspection

If the system is loud, hanging, or you want a fabricated replacement, call (972) 422-1130 or use the contact page. Bring notes on the noise, any recent exhaust work, and whether the sound changes on the highway — that is how we separate a leak from a worn muffler before we weld.
